Gunskills 1, Marksmanship at speed class with Mason Lane May 27 – May 28, 2026

Description
How do I develop marksmanship skills that work in any context? That question is the central
focus of this practical shooting oriented class. In this class we will dive deep into foundational
skills and techniques using difficult drills that will push students out of their comfort zone.
Students will leave this class with a variety of training “takeaways” and a good understanding of
how to train areas needing improvement. If you are a competitive shooter of any level, or are
just looking to explore performance pistol training, this course is an excellent choice for you.
Agenda
- Employ trigger control and marksmanship techniques that scale with speed
- Overview of grip and recoil control fundamentals on speed shooting drills
- How to transitions between targets efficiently
- Maximizing the value of dryfire training
- Movement skills fundamentals
- How to use visualization and cueing to improve your personal training
- Practical integration of skills in a stage setting
Prerequisites
HG103 or similar. Students must be operationally familiar with firearms and SAFE. If you have
prior shooting training, (personal or professional) or match experience under your belt, you will feel right at home in this course.
Students Must Bring:
Any gear/supplies you would bring to a practical shooting match including:
- Guns, belt gear, eyes/ears, adequate clothing, etc.
- Minimum 750 rounds of ammunition per day
- Pen and paper, or other device for note taking
- Water, snacks, and other food as necessary
